MANAGED OBJECTS WINS AGAIN WITH SECOND COMPUTING AWARD FOR INNOVATIVE/NEW PRODUCT OF THE YEAR
Company is the only business to be recognized twice
LONDON, 28 October 2004 – For a second year, Managed Objects, a leading provider of Business Service Management solutions, has collected the award for Innovative/New Product of the Year at the annual Computing Awards for Excellence. The company stands alone as the only business to receive the highly regarded recognition twice.
At an awards ceremony held last night in London, Managed Objects’ Business Service Level Manager (BSLM) was chosen as the best from amongst four finalists nominated for the Innovative/New Product category. Prior to finalist judging, Managed Objects was initially selected from over 300 computing entrants in the same category, just six months after the product was first launched in the UK.
The judging panel, which comprised leading IT industry experts and highly respected IT journalists and analysts, credited the Managed Objects BSLM product for its innovative features and business benefits. Additional endorsement came from leading industry analysts, and strong customer testimonials, which included CSC and other global 2000 companies.
Now in their 12th year, the Computing Awards for Excellence are regarded as the most prestigious and sought after industry accolade in the UK technology sector. This is the second year that Managed Objects has won the award for Innovative/New Product, underlining Managed Objects’ leading position in the market for business service management software.
Managed Objects’ BSLM product is specifically designed to address the major challenges faced by IT service providers in managing service level agreements (SLAs). A fully automated, real-time, transparent and predictive SLA management tool, BSLM enables service providers to monitor SLA performance and identify the root-cause of SLA breaches. Service providers benefit from reduced operational costs, improved service quality, support of corporate governance initiatives and increased customer satisfaction.
Sean Larner, European general manager for Managed Objects said, “This second award for product innovation from the UK’s leading IT industry awarding body is a terrific achievement for Managed Objects. With the trend for outsourced IT service set to continue, we fully expect demand for BSLM software to increase, as service providers, business process outsourcers and enterprises look towards software vendors to deliver intelligent management tools that help them to maintain service levels for customers.”
Larner concluded, “Innovation has, and always will be, at the forefront of our product development. With ongoing enhancements to our BSLM platform, we will continue to build upon our reputation for delivering innovative products that enable service providers to reach competitive advantage through enhanced IT service levels, greater operational efficiency, and increased customer satisfaction.”
